The Project

This car garage at Blakelow Business Park in Nantwich needed a full lighting upgrade before the new tenant could move in and start working. As part of our wider commercial and industrial electrical work, the brief was straightforward but time sensitive, get the unit properly lit, to a high standard, and do it fast enough that the customer wasn’t left waiting to get up and running.

A workshop like this depends on good lighting more than most commercial spaces. Vehicle inspection, diagnostic work and general repairs all need consistent, bright coverage across the full working area, not just pockets of light near a bench or bay. The old lighting wasn’t giving the unit that, so a full upgrade was the only real option.

Working to a Tight Deadline

With a move-in date already set, the lighting upgrade had to be delivered in swift time. Rather than treating the deadline as a constraint to work around, the job was planned so the whole unit could be completed in one focused push, floodlights fitted to the steel trusses running the full length of the workshop, giving broad, even coverage rather than isolated bright spots.

A Clean, Bright Finish

Beyond simply getting light into the space, the finish mattered too. Cabling was run tidily along the existing steel frame rather than left loose or exposed, and each floodlight positioned to avoid glare while still lighting the full working area evenly. The result is a workshop that looks as good as it functions, not just bright, but properly finished.

The Result

The garage now has consistent, bright lighting across the full workshop, installed to a standard that will hold up to daily commercial use for years to come. Most importantly, it was ready in time for the customer to move straight in without any delay to their own plans.
