Portcullis Power Solutions was founded in 2018 by Jason Leigh and Hayden Ford - two qualified electricians from Cheshire who'd seen enough of how the industry operated and decided to do it differently.

The idea was straightforward. Turn up when you say you will. Explain what needs doing in plain English. Charge a fair price. Do the work properly. Leave the place tidy. It sounds obvious, but in a trade where horror stories are common, doing the basics consistently well turns out to be a genuine differentiator.

Seven years on, we've grown from the two of us to a team of eight - covering everything from consumer unit upgrades and full rewires to solar panel installation, battery storage, EV charging points, fire alarms and EICR compliance testing. The team has grown but the approach hasn't changed. Every job gets the same standard of care whether it's a single socket in a family home or a full commercial installation.

We're NAPIT-accredited and CHAS accredited, which means every installation is carried out to current UK wiring regulations and properly certified. It also means you're not just taking our word for it - our standards are independently assessed.

Over 4,000 jobs completed across Cheshire and the North West. We're proud of that number, but we're prouder of the fact that a significant proportion of our work comes from repeat customers and recommendations. In this trade, that's the only metric that really matters.
